How I got here...
I created my first website a little over 8 years ago, as part of a project I was working on to set up a conservation organisation in the Philippines.
At the time, it was critical for us to create a presence online and to have a platform to showcase the work we were doing. However, it was very early days, and there were budget constraints to consider.
As a result, I launched myself into the world of WordPress and web development.
Fast forward to today I have used what I learnt to help a number of other small enterprises, charities or individuals to create, develop and grow their websites.
Having been in that situation myself, I know how important a website is to any organisation – and I know also that there are often financial realities to consider that can end up limiting your ambition. What I have learned is that this doesn’t have to be the case – that you can have eye-catching, professional websites that fit your budget.
About me.
As it turns out, web development is something that suits me quite well. While I am currently based in Taunton (Somerset), I have spent a lot of time abroad and/or travelling and so it really helps to take my work with me wherever I go.
When I am not sat at a computer I can usually be found outside, whether its looking after the chickens, or running up a mountain!
After this, my other big passion has always been scuba diving, and everything about the underwater world.
Loving the outdoors as I do, I would consider myself as someone who is environmentally aware, and concerned. The reason for mentioning this is to say that I have always tried to focus on projects that align with my values, and I remain committed to using Equation Web Design as a service to help companies, organisations and individuals who work in the fields of environmental and social sustainability.
